All 6 locations of the Des Moines Public Library will be closed Monday, January 18 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. However the Forest Avenue Library is hosting a program that day! So the entrance to the meeting room at Forest will be open 2-4. Marcus McIntosh from KCCI-TV will be the guest speaker and the winners of Forest Avenue Library's essay contest will attend. PLUS, the CFUM/John R. Grubb YMCA Community Youth Choir will entertain during the reception that will follow the program. Sounds like fun! Picture Source:
