I ran across a Shel Silverstein poem the other day and it reminded me how much I enjoy them. He wrote
The Giving Tree and collaborated on plays with David Mamet (and how did
that work), but his books of poetry,
A Light in the Attic and
Where the Sidewalk Ends, are the treasures as far as I'm concerned. Just the thing if you've got the winter blues. Here is a sample:
